1. Purpose and who this applies to
This Content Policy explains what you may and may not create, upload and share with GenTok, how to report content, and how we handle reports. GenTok is operated by CoinAxe Ltd, Malta. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
It applies to everyone who uses GenTok, on gentok.ai, on app.gentok.ai and through connectors such as Claude or ChatGPT. It covers prompts, scripts, uploads, creations and public share links. If you use GenTok creations elsewhere in a way that breaks these rules, for example to deceive or harass someone, we may act on your account too.
Most creative work is welcome: fantasy, horror, action, comedy, music videos, product videos for your own brand and much more. These rules are about preventing harm to real people. When in doubt, ask yourself whether someone shown or affected would object, or whether a viewer could be fooled in a harmful way.
2. What is never allowed
Sexual content
- No sexual, nude or sexually suggestive content of anyone, real or fictional, including fetish content. GenTok is not for adult content. Ordinary swimwear or fashion is fine when it is not sexualized.
Child safety
- Nothing that sexualizes minors, in any form: realistic, stylized, anime or cartoon, including characters who look under 18 whatever their stated age. We close the account permanently and report it to the authorities.
- Nothing that shows children being abused, endangered or exploited, or that could help someone groom a child.
Non-consensual intimate imagery
- No intimate, nude or sexual images of real people, whether real or AI-made, including "undressing" a photo or putting someone's face on another body. No threats to make or share such images.
Deceptive deepfakes
- No impersonating a real person to deceive others.
- No fraud with fake videos or voices, such as fake endorsements, fake messages from a boss or relative, or fake evidence.
- No election or political disinformation, such as fake footage of politicians, candidates or officials, or content that misleads people about how, when or whether to vote.
- No fake news: realistic made-up footage of real events, disasters, crimes or public statements presented as real.
Harassment, bullying and hate
- No content that harasses, bullies, threatens, humiliates or mocks a real person.
- No content that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or another protected characteristic.
Violence, extremism and self-harm
- No content that promotes, praises or recruits for terrorism or violent extremism.
- No content that glorifies real violence, or graphic gore made to shock. Fictional horror and action are fine without gratuitous gore.
- No content that encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
Illegal activity, weapons and drugs
- No content that promotes illegal activity, or gives instructions for making weapons or explosives, or for making or obtaining illegal drugs.
- No content that sells or advertises illegal goods or services.
Intellectual property
- No logos, brands, trademarks, copyrighted characters, artwork or footage of others unless you own them or have permission. Use "Your photos & logo" with your own logo.
Privacy
- No photos of other people without their permission (see section 3).
- No doxxing: no addresses, phone numbers, ID documents or other private information about other people in your content or creations.
Spam, scams and misleading ads
- No scams, phishing, fake giveaways or get-rich-quick schemes.
- No misleading ads, such as fake testimonials, fake before-and-after results or false health claims.
- No mass-produced spam.
Don't try to get around these rules, for example by wording a prompt to trick a model into making prohibited content.
3. Photos of real people
- Permission first. Upload a photo of a real person only if you are that person or every identifiable person in it has agreed to you using their image this way.
- Public figures. Do not make realistic images or videos of celebrities, politicians or other public figures that could be mistaken for real. Clearly stylized parody may be fine if it is labeled and breaks no other rule.
- Minors. Upload a photo of a minor only if you are their parent or legal guardian. Never use a minor's image in a sexual, humiliating, violent or dangerous context. Think about the child's privacy before you share anything publicly.
- Permission can end. If someone withdraws their permission, stop using their image and turn off any share link that shows them.
- No identification. We process faces only to make the creation you asked for, never to identify anyone. See our Privacy Policy.
4. Talking photos and voices
- Use only your own face, or the face of someone who has agreed to it.
- GenTok uses stock voices and does not clone voices. Don't present a stock voice as a real person's voice.
- Never make a real person appear to say something they didn't say in order to mislead others, even as a joke that viewers could take as real.
- Even with permission, label a realistic talking photo as AI-generated when you post it.
5. Label AI content when you post it
Everything GenTok makes is AI-generated. When you post a realistic creation of real people, places or events, you must say it is AI-generated. For businesses and professional publishers this is also a legal duty under the EU AI Act (article 50(4)). Use the platform's AI label or a caption such as "Made with AI", and never present a creation as real footage. Our share pages carry an "AI-generated" label. Don't remove any AI marking from files. See section 18 of the Terms.
6. How to report content
The report form
Every public share page has a "Report this video" (or "image") form. You don't need an account. Choose a reason and, if you like, add details (up to 2,000 characters), your email address for an answer, your name and a good-faith statement. Together these make a complete notice (see below). To prevent abuse, we accept up to 5 reports per hour from the same connection.
By email
For anything else, write to hello@gentok.ai. For example, if the content is not on a share page, if you want to send a formal legal notice (such as a copyright notice), or if you want to give more detail.
What a complete notice contains
Under the Digital Services Act (article 16), a notice about illegal content should include:
- where the content is: the share link, or other details that let us find it;
- why you believe the content is illegal or breaks this policy, explained clearly enough for us to assess it;
- your name and email address, except for reports of child sexual abuse material;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your notice is accurate and complete.
Quick reports through the form are welcome too, and we review every one. A complete notice helps us decide faster and more accurately.
Child sexual abuse material
Report it right away. You don't need to give your name. Do not download, copy or share the content, not even to send it to us: the link is enough.
Content on other websites
We can remove only content stored on GenTok. If you see a GenTok creation on another website, report it to that website too. If you can, send us the share link or other details, so that we can act on the account behind it.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services first.
7. What happens after a report
- Confirmation. If you gave an email address, we confirm that we received your report.
- Human review. A person on our team reviews every report. We don't use automated systems to decide on reports or accounts. The AI models may refuse some requests on their own, and we may add automated detection tools later; if we do, we will update this policy first.
- Assessment. We check whether the content is illegal or breaks this policy, taking its context into account.
- Possible actions. We may keep the content up, turn off the share link (the owner then can't share that creation again), remove content, warn the user, limit features, suspend or close the account, or report the matter to the authorities.
- Proportionality. We consider how serious the problem is, whether it was intentional, whether it happened before, and its context. Content that sexualizes minors leads to permanent closure and a report to the authorities.
- Statement of reasons. When we restrict content or an account, we email the account owner a statement of reasons: what we did and why, the facts we relied on, the rule or law involved, and how to appeal. We may not send one where the law forbids it or an authority asks us not to.
- Reply to the reporter. If you gave an email address, we tell you what we decided.
- Authorities. If we learn of a possible crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the relevant authorities.
8. Appeals
If you disagree with our decision, as the account owner or as the person who reported the content, you can appeal within 6 months by replying to our email. Appeals are free. Where possible, a different person from the one who made the first decision reviews your appeal. We tell you the outcome, and if we got it wrong, we reverse the decision and restore what we removed.
You can also go to court and, where the Digital Services Act gives you this right, use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body.
9. Misuse of reporting and repeat violations
Repeat violations. If an account often posts or shares content that is clearly illegal or breaks this policy, we warn it and then suspend it for a reasonable period. Serious or repeated violations lead to closure. Content that sexualizes minors leads to closure at once.
Misuse of reporting. If someone often sends reports that are clearly unfounded, we may, after a warning, stop handling their reports for a reasonable period. Knowingly false reports can also be against the law.
In both cases, we look at how often it happened, how serious it was and what the person intended.
